European Organic Congress and the 5th SAFO workshop

Dear subscribers to the SAFO Newsletter,

The preparations for both the 5th SAFO workshop and European Organic Congress in Odense, Denmark are going very well.

More than 250 papers for the congress

Following the open call for papers to the congress, we have received more than 250 scientific papers from all over Europe. The many papers promise a very exciting programme, which you can see at congress website.

The organizers have extended the cheap registration to the 19th of April. Please make use of the opportunity. So far, more that 600 people have registered for the congress.

Workshop on the outcome of the SAFO network

The congress takes place on the 30th and 31st of May. Immediately, after the congress, on the 1st of June, SAFO will hold its final workshop.

The workshop programme will include a summary of the outcomes of SAFO, discussions on the topics arising from activities in the SAFO network, and discussions on organic inspection and certification. Please see the programme at the SAFO website.

1st Conference on Animals in Organic Production

Finally, we will draw you attention to yet another event within organic animal husbandry, namely the 1st IFOAM International Conference on Animals in Organic Production.
