SAFO News, December 2003
The SAFO Network is working, and we work inside the Network! We hope that you have found opportunity to visit and use our web site – otherwise let this be an encouragement to do so! Proceedings from 1st workshop at the web site now In September, we held our first SAFO-workshop – and the proceedings is now at the web-site, to be found both as separate chapters and as a full proceeding in PDF-format. A part of the proceedings are the first standard development report, based on group discussions at the workshop. An English summary summarise the contributions and the discussions at the workshop. You can also find this summary at the web site! Next workshop in Witzenhausen in March 2004! The first announcement of the next workshop: ‘Development of organic livestock farming: potential and limitations of husbandry practices to secure animal health, welfare and food quality’ appears on the web site. Presentation of the SAFO Network at conferences during the past months The SAFO Network has been presented in an oral presentation at the Annual EAAP Conference 2003, which took place in Rome in late August 2003. The hand-out-paper from this event is at the SAFO Website. Furthermore, we were represented with a poster presentation at the 10th International Symposium of Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics in Chile, November 2003.
