Program available for the 3rd workshop in Poland in September 2004 – please register now!

On the website, the program for our 3^rd SAFO workshop titled ‘Enhancing animal health security and food safety in organic livestock production systems’ is available. As you can see, we are focusing on the food security and safety, e.g. in the sessions on bio-security and risk of residues in organic animal products. Beside this, there will be two sessions about the development of organic livestock farming in the new membership and candidate countries. As at the other workshops, there will be plenty of possibilities for discussions, as the program contain both plenary sessions and working group sessions. Please register for the workshop as soon as possible, if you want to attend, by following the instructions on the webpage.

Proceedings and presentations available from the 2nd workshop in Witzenhausen in March

On the SAFO website, the proceedings are now available from the 2^nd workshop: all oral and poster presentations in full papers. Besides, overheads are available for most of the oral presentations as pdf-files, which can also be downloaded from the website.

At the SAFO website, we are still adding links to relevant organisations and other networks. You can e.g. find links now to the research network ISOFAR, and to the EU-project QualityLowInputFod. The European Action Plan for Organic Farming is also available on the internet now – this may be relevant for a discussion at the discussion lists, and you can find the link to the Action Plan on the SAFO Website.
