2nd SAFO workshop

The second SAFO workshop was held on March 25-27. 2004, in Witzenhausen, Germany. The theme was "Development of organic livestock farming: potential and limitations of husbandry practice to secure animal health, welfare and food quality". More...


1st SAFO workshop

The first SAFO workshop was held in Florence, Italy, and it focused on socio-economic aspects of organic animal production. An article on the overall outcome of the workshop, together with programme, abstracts and practical information regarding expenses for participation can be found here.

Main Conclusions

On the 20th of January 2006, the main conclusions, key messages and recommendations from the SAFO project were presented at a meeting in Brussels.

Road shows

In continuation of the thematic workshops a series of seminars or "road shows" has been held in five Eastern and Central European countries: Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia in combination with Czech Republic.
