Road shows

In continuation of the thematic workshops a series of seminars or "road shows" has been held in five candidate countries: Latvia, Estonia, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia in combination with Czech Republic.

In the SAFO project a road show has been defined as series of workshops, where the same team present and discus topics from the SAFO network. Beside this, country specific conditions has been dealt with and discussed in a two-way communication.

The road shows has been aimed at end users (livestock producers), certification bodies and policy makers. The aim was also to bring the information from the project to the end-user level in the candidate member states. Last but not least, the aim was to encourage discussion among farmers and policy makers in accession countries regarding the potential, constraints and research requirements in relation to organic livestock production.
